Snow Arrives | EagleVail Golf Course Closing Weekend

As the EagleVail Golf Course closes for one its best seasons in its history, we welcome the arrival of snow back to the the Vail Valley. This autumn has been an exceptionally beautiful one marked by a beautiful and strong change in colors, comfortable weather and ample moisture. Expectations are high we will have a strong winter and if the moisture this fall and early snow we just received are any indication of what is to come, skiing at Vail or Beaver Creek should be excellent this season. Check out The Vail Daily’s post to see what is happening on the mountain.

From a real estate perspective, the market continues to improve in sales volume and transactions year over year and month over month. Most current available data from the Vail Multi-list shows this September nearly 49% more properties were sold compared to September 2011. September over August 2012 also shows an 8% rise in volume. The number of existing home sales under contract year over year was also up nearly 34%.

From a distressed property perspective (foreclosures, bank owned, REOs, short sales), county-wide about 1 in 4 transactions are distressed. The reality is the majority are west of Wolcott in the Eagle and Gypsum areas. The best deals on luxury and quality distressed properties do exist but require the experienced brokerage with a history or finding and transacting these types of deals. Please call us today at 970-331-0387 to speak with us and learn how we are uniquely qualified to help you do this.
