Eagle County real estate volume up 41% through 2nd Qtr.
Eagle County real estate sales volume is up 41% through the 2nd quarter when compared to 2013. It is the highest total volume in six years through the 2nd quarter. The number of overall transactions are also up 10% this June compared to last June: with 158 compared to 143.
Sales in Eagle and Gypsum far exceeded sales transactions of any other area with 29 and 21 respectively. These two areas contributed more than one-third of the June transactions with Avon coming in with the third highest number. These transactions consisted of 68% local buyers. This compares with June’s average of 53% local buyers.
If you look through the attached June price per square foot report, countywide single family homes are up 33%; multi-family homes are up 32%; and vacant land is up 43% year to date over 2013.
Bank sales accounted for 4 sales in June which contributes to the down-sloping trend of overall bank sales this year.
